I’ve been tagged by Shawn. kinda, I’m an “alternate.” But hey, I like playing blog tag so here goes:
My desktop (click for full size):
Notes:
- Win XP – boo.
- I let my wife have 3 desktop icons. She chose to have quick access to: Budget, School (she homeschools our daughter), and “Sell our house” (she supports the worship pastor vision).
- Paint Shop Pro version 7 is what I use primarily for graphics editing. (I miss working with better software, but it’s good for quick and dirty editing. It made that screen capture right there.) Other quick launch icons = Firefox, Plam (being phased out for Google calendar) , Picasa, Word (being phased out for Google docs), and of course the iTunes.
- My wife took this photo. The desktop version is 100% unphotoshopped. She has the skills. Looking at it gets me fired up to be a worship pastor.
As an alternate I’m making this post from the bench so can’t really tag anyone else. We’ll have to try playing backwards. Leave a comment letting me you know that you’d like to be tagged and I’ll edit this post to link to your site:
People who I’ve “tagged” so far:

you like staring at your butt all day… huh. (or maybe your wifey does?)
Yep, he likes looking at his own butt all day
…and, okay, so do I
…especially in those jeans.
BTW, I like how you cleaned up the desktop before you took its picture. Look-a nice, very nice.
Just curious, are you booing WinXP because:
1. You would rather be on Linux
2. You would rather be on Mac OS X
3. You’re one of the 3 people in the world who hearts Vista
4. Microsoft
Or something else? I would answer my own question as a 20/60/20 split of 1/2/4 (how’s that for complicated), although XP is the first Windows OS that has been “reasonably acceptable” in my mind.
Alex and Sarah,
When you got it flaunt it!
Jonathon,
99% #2.
Although, my computer is ancient. If I was running Vista by default I’d have a faster machine.
Hey, so I found you through lo-fi-tribe, first I’d like to say you have just been added to my feeds, I like the blog.
Second That is a really cool wallpaper you got there. And I like the fact you have it so clean, most people, when they have a PC, clutter it with all their junk. It’s a breath of fresh air
Nick,
Yeah clean and simple is my preferred modus operandi. A lot of clutter on your desktop (virtual or in real life) just distracts you from the task at hand. I do sometimes use the desktop as a temporary storage place when I want to quickly save something that I’ll later file or delete.
I think everyone does that though, after a while it drives me nuts though.
