Places I have been this week that you will appreciate as well:
- Tony Morgan makes a list of his top 25 blogs. Tony’s blogging has been an influence on me so it was exciting to see that we both liked a lot of the same blogs.
- Mark Batterson drops a list of his Top 10 Sayings. Not only are these some good wisdom in sound byte form, but the list is a response to requests. Mark is responding to people and that’s good blogging.
- As a worship leader the tool that impacts the quality of my music more than any other is my metronome. If you aren’t practicing with one you are cheating yourself, your band, your church and God. This is especially true when you could be using this awesome free metronome online.
- Shannon Lewis tells a great story about leading worship according to our calling. This is an excellent example of leading beyond the Sunday morning band.
- Dean Peters at Heal Your Church Website posted this hilarious pic highlighting how Christian kitsch art leads to poor websdesign: You have to see it in large size to take in all it’s glorious splendor.

Many of those links are in my favorites now Billy. Thanks. By the way, don’t go out of your way, but if you could write some stuff for those of us that are just learning to play the guitar for worship. Thanks.

Wow - that Kitsch Art thing was a REAL HOOT!
Egads - did I just say ‘hoot’?
ACK! Did I just say ‘egads’?!
Dude, what is my problem?!
Time for bed…before I cough up a hairball.
Don’t worry - I have no idea what I’m talking about.

Daniel,
Here are some great resources out there for beginning guitarists.
Check out Paul Baloche:

And also New Song Cafe:

Actually watching these videos has inspired me to want to do my own “how to play a worship song” video. Be on the look out for a “acoustic guitar dynamics video” or something like that in the next month.
